Getting Started with Elaan's List Singapore
To browse the ads:
		Click the town in Singapore whose ads you want to see
		Next click a category for the 'type of ad' you want to see
		If ads are posted in that category, you can view all of them
To Place an ad:
		Choose a town and category.
		When the list of ads displays, click the 'Place Your Ad' link

What's Free, What's Not?

You can place as many text ads as you like, in as many categories as you like on Elaan's List. Adding images to your post is free. You can upload up to three images. Your ad runs for thirty days and is absolutely free. If you'd like to continue running the post after 30 days, simply repost the ad. The advantage to reposting is that it will once again put you at the top of the list of ads in the 'search results' list.

What you cannot do with your free text ad is run the 'same' ad in another town or another city. This is called cross-posting and can devastate a website if allowed to go unchecked. If you attempt to cross-post, the most likely result will be that all your posts will be removed from the site indefinitely. To avoid cross-posting, make sure that your ads are 'not similar' in their wording.

Commercial advertising using display ads, web banners, etc. will incur a charge. If you'd prefer a larger picture, or a direct link to your post via a link/graphic on a particular page, Sales will gladly give you a quote. Advertisers can also use an Elaan's List mailbox to receive messages. Click the blue 'info symbol' on any ad page for more info

Elaan's List offers anonymous e-mailing to commercial advertisers on the site  (sample). Again, Elaan's List sales will give you a quote based on work involved.
