To browse the ads:
		Click a category for types of ads you want to see
		Next click a town to display ads for that town/area
		If ads are posted in that town/area, you can view all of them
To Place an ad:
		Choose a category and town.

How to use Elaan's List Classifieds

Using Elaan's List Singapore Classifieds is easy. There are two reasons why people visit the site. They either want to browse the ads, or post an ad.

Browsing through the ads is simple. First choose a category of interest, then choose an area of Singapore to narrow your search of posts in the database. You will be presented with links (titles) to all the posts in the category you chose. In addition, on the right end of each link you'll find the name of the area or town. This is handy if you prefer to do business or make inquiries/announcements in a particular area. When you find a title that interests you, simply click on it as you would any link and the information is available to you in easy to read format.

If there are no ads that interest you or no ads in that category/town pair, then click the 'View locations' link and the program will retrieve all relevant links 'near' your area. Additionally, use the 3D interactive map to locate the items you need. Zoom in for driving or public transport options.

Placing an ad is almost as easy as browsing but requires a bit more creativity. There are two places where you can find the 'Place Your Ad' link. One is on the 'search results' page; the other is on each individual post that you open.

To post an ad, you must first choose a category, then an area or town. When you see your search results, look in the upper right corner and you will see the 'Place Your Ad' link. Simply click that link, follow the prompts and in a matter of minutes, you'll have a professional-looking post.

Most visitors arrive at the site from Google directly to an ad posting. You will find the 'Place Your Ad' link in the upper right corner. Note the category of the ad before you click the link. Change to another category if necessary.

Be sure to verify your e-mail address after you have submitted your post. Check your e-mail and click the link in the message. Once you do that and your ad is approved, you'll begin getting views and responses.

People will definitely be interested in your post, and you can control how they contact you. You can allow them to use your e-mail address, or you can have them contact you anonymously (they can e-mail you but they never know your e-mail address). When you setup your communications preferences, you can indicate your preferred choice.
